John Kerry Campaign Launch - Kerry For President
The four-state, two-day official launch of the John Kerry for President Campaign was amplified using an integrated collection of digital media services.  In addition to the South Carolina announcement, the launch included activities in Iowa, New Hampshire and Massachusetts.  Services provided in the four states included near-real time digital stills capture and distribution to the press, multi-camera video production, satellite up-link and encoding and streaming of all events to the johnkerry.com website.  A branded "John Kerry Leadership Network" was also created in conjunction with the South Carolina launch, connecting the announcement live to several VFW halls and making it available to more than 9 million homes around the country on the Echostar system.  Hosted from Patriots Point by Kerry advocate and former Senator Max Cleland, veterans were treated to an enhanced broadcast of the event and an opportunity to interact directly with the candidate just as he finished his speech. Organizers at remote sites were able to create a variety of press-worthy, prestige-building events based on the quality and immediacy of the broadcast.
