Global Fund "Access to Life"
Podium Arts Communications provided turnkey design and production services for the launch of "Access to Life" for The Global Fund and Magnum Photos. This initiative is part of a major international campaign presenting the dramatic achievements of TGFs' HIV treatment efforts in countries around the world. Set in the historic Mellon Auditorium, the launch included a VIP reception and theatrical presentation, along with a collection of intimate stories of patients in four countries. The classic hall was divided into two distinct spaces, allowing for both an elegant reception with remarks by former U.N. Sec. General Kofi Annan and Senator Patrick Leahy (among others), and a dramatic concert and presentation, featuring a performance by Senegalese world music artist Youssou N'Dour. Dramatic still and video images were featured on high-resolution digital display screens throughout the space, including a 25 x 40 foot screen used as the backdrop for the narrative presentation and N'Dour performance. All media content for the event was produced in HD video by Podium Arts, and is being repurposed for multiple platforms including the web, press, and live presentations around the world.
