BodyWorks Theatre

Podium Arts Creative Director, Joseph Finneran, was involved in the BodyWorks Theatre project from early conceptual development through final installation, a process that lasted almost three years.  As consulting Executive Producer, Co-writer, and Exhibit Director, he supervised story and character development, budgeting, vendor selection, as well as media design and production, and the final installation and programming of the project. Throughout the Exhibit's development, Joseph worked closely with exhibit designers West Office Exhibition Design and the staff of the California Science Center.  The 120-seat theater-in-the-round features a 52-foot tall, "living" human body model as well as integrated theatrical video, lighting and audio systems capable of providing multiple shows on demand. The media design and production included an original cell-animated character, animated CGI backgrounds and a full theatrical soundtrack.
